Valentine Cookies

To say that I am excited about these cookies is the understatement of the century. I have wanted to learn how to decorate sugar cookies my entire life. This is my first attempt and it gives me great hope… I think that I can do this!I have spent the last few weeks researching and reading EVERYTHING I could get my hands on related to cookie decorating. There are some extremely talented bakers that are so generous in regards to sharing their knowledge. A few of my favorite websites are below, I can’t even wrap my brain around their talent. So inspiring.

I think they turned out fabulous! I give you a lot of credit for the patience it takes to make some masterpieces like that. The kids don’t have school tomorrow since there is Teacher in service day & it’s a good day since it will be 30 below tomorrow. No playing outside so we’ll be baking cookies & working on Valentines but we won’t be getting elaborate & decorating. Not sure I’ve found a sugar cookie recipe I like a lot yet. Still looking.
