Mister loves, LOVES his scooter, he wouldn’t let go of it when opening other gifts. Ella got one also, they have been riding them around the house ever since Christmas.

Grandparents arrived mid-morning, did I ever tell you about Mom’s sticky, pecan cinnamon rolls? She makes them every year for Christmas and they are heavenly. I look forward to them so much. Did I ever tell you about the year she made them with salt? She was apparently in a hurry and not paying attention, but she mixed the cinnamon with salt instead of sugar. Oh my. It was not good.

My wonderful husband gave me these beautiful pearls. My mom bought me that cross necklace that I’m wearing. I kept reminding everyone that it was Jesus’ birthday.

And this was the highlight of the day. The gift of the year. The most thoughtful present EVER. What my husband is holding in his hand is deer urine. Did you know they even sold this stuff? Apparently it is supposed to convey this message to buck… “I’m a doe and I am hungry for love. Please come find me.” It kind of makes me sad for the male deer, because he smells this, goes seeking out a lady, thinking he’s gonna get him some and then BAM!! He’s friggin dead. Anyway, I bought it for him because he really got into hunting last year. I also bought him special soap, laundry detergent and deodorant so that they deer wouldn’t smell him, just the pee of another deer.

Christmas

Jody and kids stopped over the following evening for some fun. No deer pee was involved.

Our Christmas pictures look NOTHING like your Christmas pictures. We always have MAJOR bed-head. You have your hair and make-up done and no jammies! What kind of pics are those? (Brings make memories of home movies…huge light shining in your eyes as you tried to make it down the hall without falling because the light was soooo bright).
