Our Newest Pet

I thought there was a law that stated a person should not buy a pet for the household of another person. Am I mistaken? Do I have that wrong? Because my mom bought a fish for Mister… knowing that Mister would not be capable of caring for said fish. So guess who takes care of the fish? Yes, that would be me. Not that I mind terribly, he/she does keep to him/herself pretty much, but there are feedings involved. And sometimes I may forgot to feed the fish because he/she does not meow or bark, or anything that would indicate hunger.Fish

I’m not sure as to the gender of this fish, but his/her tail sure is pretty/handsome. I asked Mister to name the fish… and just to be sure that he was certain, I’ve asked him several times. And every time he replies with, “Fishy.” Pretty smart, that kid of mine, giving the fish a gender neutral name.

That would be a HE… the females, just like mallard ducks, are much uglier than their counterparts. Total opposite of humans! HA HA ;)

Yep, it’s a boy!! We had 7 at one time. 6 boys, 1 girl. The boys made bubbles in their bowls to attract her and she committed little fishy suicide one day trying to “jump” over to the their bowls! Our original two lasted several years until Ninja took advantage of them being uncovered one day during cleaning and had himself a little fishy snack!!
