Happy Birthday Evan!

I can’t believe my little Bud is four years old!?!?

It’s so hard planning a birthday party right before Christmas. Not just because of the holiday season, but because I’m typically extremely busy wrapping things up for the year with Weddings by Heather. As a result, Mr’s party planning is pretty much non-existent. Which makes me feel AWFUL. Luckily, I had purchased some decorations, and putting up streamers made me feel a little better. Like, ok, there are streamers, so his party isn’t all the bad, right? Ugh. I feel like a terrible mom. We always have fairly simple parties for our kids, but then I see these people that have these lavish, coordinated, soirees and I feel like a slacker.  I can’t let comparison steal my joy. I can’t let comparison steal my joy. I had streamers!
Bud chose a construction theme, he loves dump trucks, diggers, etc.
Such a handsome young man!
I could eat him.
Not sure what we were doing here, but no matter what the party style, I love this little bugger more than anything in the world.
He is so sweet.

I don’t miss infancy, but I sure as heck miss these chubby little legs and that big belly. I posted a few more baby photos on Facebook, you can view them by clicking here.We love you so much Ebbanator!!

Happy Birthday Mr!

Help. He calls himself Ebban and he melts me.
I cannot believe that our sweet, wittle boy is three years old already. Where does time go? (I’m a little late with this post, his birthday was 12/13).
Yes, we let a three year old play with a lighter. Go ahead and nominate us for parents of the year.
No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t get it to work. The childproof feature worked! And trust me, if any kid could figure it out, it would be him.
Poor kid, it’s really hard to put effort into his birthday right before Christmas. I threw his party together in one afternoon… I typically spend weeks prepping for Ella’s.
He was so excited to get his own marbles!! Sissy has been collecting marbles and has a bit of a problem sharing with her brother. A topic for another day.
He loves hairplanes. And hairports.
When Uncle Mike asked what to get him, I indicated that a small matchbox type car or truck would be perfect. There must have been a mis-communication?

My Birthday!!

My birthday party was pretty low-key this year, but in exchange for a small party, I went all out for birthday month. That’s right, the entire month was a celebration!! Why not? I love to find reasons to celebrate!

My wonderful husband bought me the shirt, necklace, hair piece combo.
I asked my dad to take a nice photo of us and this is what I got: mom’s eyes are closed, I’m looking down at a little boy licking ice cream out of his bowl and Craig is looking off somewhere in the distance. One photo. One, nice photo, is that too much to ask?
My birthday hug from my sweet girl!

Birthday Eve

Look at my boys, so cute in their plaid shirts. They were headed to the farm and tractor show.
Just had my hair highlighted and I love the way she curls it. My hair is poker straight and takes a lot of work to curl. Love the cross necklace that mom bought me, she found it on Amazon.
Love my babies!!
At the tractor show, that’s grandpa in the background with his hat and plaid shirt. All of the boys were wearing plaid shirts, it was cute.

Ella’s Birthday Part Deux

We had another small party for Goosie when we got home from vacation so that we couldn’t include some other friends.
She has always adored her Uncle Mike.
So, I’m not sure if I have mentioned this in the past on the blog, but my brother Mike is getting married!!!! To a real person!!! This is very exciting news, considering he had sworn off women for many, many years. We love Beth and can’t wait to celebrate with them this December.
